START!

If you haven’t heard of Jon Acuff, check out his blog.  I loved his book Quitter and am in the process of reading his newest book START. For the next 21 days I will be participating in the START Experiment – we are already 3 days into the project. The basic idea is pick a risk or project that you have been dreaming about and get STARTed in small steps.

I had already decided that I would like to update and redesign my website as part of this project so the timing of my website’s accidental demise was perfect.  Slowly but surely I am beginning to add some content, and today I think I will focus on the layout and look for a while.

Each day Jon sends an email with an action step.  Today’s was to “find some superstars.”  Here are a couple of websites (and music therapy business owners) that I admire. Rachel at Listen and Learn Music (located in Springfield, IL) and the team at Coast Music Therapy (located in San Diego, CA) both do fantastic jobs.  Here’s to small steps and building a better site!
